Fall Golf on The Outer Banks

When is the best time to play golf on the Outer Banks? That is a question we’ve heard debated around the clubhouse a time or two.

For us, it’s anytime we can get onto the course. Here on North Carolina’s Outer Banks, the summer season sees families flock to the area to spend a week near the ocean. During our “prime” season, we see an increase in temperatures, traffic on the roads, rates/fees, and golfers.

Then, ”the calm after the storm”. While we love the summer season, there is something special about fall golf on the Outer Banks. Pleasant and cooler temperatures not only bring changes in the leaves, but also means less traffic, lower rates, and courses that are still in great shape! Even for the non-golfer in your group, there are still plenty of other attractions and activities to make for an enjoyable visit.

We love fall. In our opinion, it is the best time of the year to golf on the Outer Banks…at least until spring arrives. Book your fall tee-times today to see what we’re talking about!
